Student Stage Manager: Student needed to set up chairs, music stands, and percussion equipment for all music department large ensemble rehearsals; 2 or 3 rehearsals every week day. The set-ups must be completed not less than 30 minutes prior to each rehearsal. The rehearsals primarily take place in the Barshinger Center for Musical Arts, although some rehearsals are in different locations from time to time. The student stage manager needs a working knowledge of the space requirements for orchestra and band instruments to perform as well as being able to identify most percussion instruments.  Music Tutor: Music tutors give guidance to music students using the Sibelius composing software for music theory, working on ear training, and writing music history and music theory papers. Music tutors should have taken and excelled in MUS 222 Theory 1 and MUS 223 Theory 2 as well as having a working knowledge of Sibelius. Pay is standard at $7.25/hour. Contact Debbie Joseph at . Office Assistant: Dependable student needed for clerical and office work. Duties include general office work and errands around campus. Comfort level with Microsoft Word and Excel a plus.  Sound Horizons Clerical Assistant: Dependable student needed to help with Sound Horizons Concert Series. Duties include poster distribution, tickets sales on the day of the concerts, helping with concert day dress rehearsals, and general errands. Music Ensemble Librarian: Dependable student who is self motivated and works well independently, to manage the libraries for the instrumental music and choral music ensembles at F&M.  This work may include: creating an accurate spread sheet of selections in the library, sorting and filing music that has been performed, preparing music to be distributed for ensembles, and some organizational design of the libraries at the discretion and in consultation with the directors.  Pay is standard at $7.25/hour.  Contact Brian Norcross at .
