Recently, my wife Gwenn and I were honored to attend a celebration of F&M’s 225th Anniversary in New York City. The evening was a spectacular success, with more than $250,000 being raised to assist students with scholarships and internship programs. All of us there felt our collective passion and pride for our alma mater as it has advanced so dramatically in the first two years of leadership under President Dan Porterfield. While F&M improved its physical campus in so many wonderful ways while John Fry was President, Dan and the current leadership of the College are focused on investing in building F&M’s people.
It is with this sense of renewed hope for the future of F&M that Gwenn and I have contributed to the F&M Annual Fund this year. Your gift to F&M, in any amount of money, can also help us insure that F&M can provide the financial aid, facilities and services that its students deserve, in order that F&M can continue to fulfill its mission to be recognized as one of the leading liberal arts colleges in the country.
