The National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) is an organization of 26 women's fraternities, frequently referred to as sororities. These national and international groups, of which the oldest was founded in 1851, represent over 3.4 million initiated women. The NPC member fraternities have a combined total of collegiate chapters exceeding 2,900 on over 630 college and university campuses.
The Panhellenic Council (known as Panhel) at Franklin and Marshall College serves as the governing body for all sororities on campus. For more information, please contact Mary Kate Boland, Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life ()

"Being Greek allowed me to be part of something that was bigger than myself. It has given me a lot of self-confidence and provided opportunities for me to develop leadership skills. My sisters have served as an outlet for fun and friendship that lasts for a lifetime."

"Being a Tri-Sigma is one of the most fulfilling experiences I've had at F&M. The sorority allowed me to meet an amazing group of girls who are truly the sisters I never had. Being Greek gave me confidence in my abilities, allowing me to develop into the woman I am today. I've never given a second thought on my decision to go Greek. I am part of something truly special - a lifelong commitment to Sigma and my sisters."
