Holocaust Remembrance Committee's 24 hour Name Reading (7pm- 7pm@ Steinman College Center Atrium)

Please join in a full day of remembrance, as members of our community read names of those who passed during the Holocaust.  You can sign up to read for a 15 minute time slot using this link, or come and remember with us as we remind the community of the people we lost.

Power Packs trip @ 2:15

Power Packs is a weekly Tzedek project to help pack food and distribute them to families in the area who are in need to insure they have food to feed their children over the weekend.  Sally will be leaving campus at 2:15 from Williamson lot to head to the packing plant to pick up the food.  It is an easy and quick way to make a large impact on our local community!

The Cultures Behind the Conflict Film Festival (7:30 @ Stahr Auditorium)

Join the Judaic Studies Department in the first film of three presented throughout the semester.  Proessors Sylvia Alajaji and Matt Hoffman will be present to show and discuss the the last film of the series:Channels of Rage.

Channels of Rage: Set against the background of the Second Intifada, this documentary traces the relationship between two rappers, one Israeli and one Palestinian.  What begins as a hopeful, good-natured, and mutually supportive friendship starts to disintegrate as the two musicians grapple with what Israel means to them.

Klehr Center Birthday Shabbat! (6:30pm @ Klehr Center)

Come join us for a special Shabbat Dinner this week as we mark the 5th anniversary of the Klehr Center for Jewish Life!  There will be fun and food as we mark this major milestone!

Please RSVP to Facebook by midnight on Tuesday so we are sure to have enough food for everone!

11:00pm - Learn how to make the dough
3:30pm - Help us braid the Hillel Challah
4:30pm - Meet new friends and help set up for Shabbat dinner
5:30pm- Friday services the Hillel way in the Beit Midrash
6:30pm- Ritual begins followed by Shabbat Dinner

"Admission" to Hillel Shabbat Dinners is a donation to help others. Please bring either a non-perishable food item, a toiletry item or at least 1 dollar.  Food and toiletries will be donated locally and all funds will be donated to charity.
