Barnes & Noble College Bookstore
The College Bookstore offers Franklin & Marshall employees a 10% discount on selected merchandise. Faculty and staff must show their valid College ID to receive this discount.
Club Quarters offers discounts on reservations with certain hotels for employees. Password = Franklin & Marshall College.
College faculty and professional staff are eligible for special pricing on computers and related equipment.
Gypsy Kitchen at the Lancaster Theological Seminary has become a popular lunch option. F&M employees having lunch at the Gypsy Kitchen on Tuesdays or Fridays will receive a 10% discount on their bill. To receive this discount, show your F&M ID when you pay. This discount will be good for the employee plus one guest.

Homeowners and Auto Insurance

The Lancaster YMCA (City Y or Lampeter Strasburg Branch) currently offers discounted membership fees to faculty and professional staff. College employees may inquire about a discount on an adult or family Y membership by visiting a Lancaster Y branch and showing their F&M ID card. (Per Y policies, retired employees are not eligible for discounted memberships.)
Long Term Care
Faculty, professional staff, retired members of the College community, and eligible family members may qualify for discounted rates on individual long-term care insurance policies. Interested individuals may contact CaringPlans Associates, at (717) 652-0552 for detailed information about coverage and premiums. Newly hired, full-time members of the faculty and professional staff may apply for long-term care insurance through MedAmerica within 60 calendar days of hire in order to qualify for "simplified underwriting" (i.e., if applying within 60 days of hire, a full-time faculty or staff member will generally have to answer only a few health-related questions in conjunction with his/her application). A full-time employee's spouse or care partner, if actively employed at least 30 hours per week, may also qualify for simplified underwriting. Those who apply outside this 60 day window will be required to provide more extensive health-related information to MedAmerica in conjunction with their application for coverage. MedAmerica determines whether an individual qualifies for coverage. All information provided in conjunction with an application is kept strictly confidential by MedAmerica, and is not viewed, shared with, or stored by the College.
