Human Resources

Human Resources Mission:

  • To develop, foster, and implement strategies, processes, and programs that support the College's strategic plans and priorities.

  • To provide resources and tools to allow staff to enhance their skills and abilities, so they are best able to promote academic excellence and serve the College, our students, alumni, and donors.

Primary Areas of Responsibility:

  • Strategic planning: assuring Human Resources priorities are aligned with College plans and priorities
  • Talent acquisition: staffing planning; staff recruitment, hiring, and onboarding
  • Rewards and recognition: compensation strategy and planning, staff salary administration, benefits plan design and administration
  • Talent management: professional development, performance management, retention
  • Employee relations and communications; providing consultation to managers
  • Policy development: creation of Human Resources-related policies and programs aligned with College objectives
  • Compliance, risk management, and audit as it pertains to compensation, benefits, and Human Resources functions

So that the Human Resources staff is best prepared to assist you, we encourage you to schedule an appointment in advance.  Members of the College's faculty and professional staff, as well as retirees of the College, may contact:

  • Christine Callender, christine.callender@fandm.edu, for information about benefits enrollment; the onboarding process for newly appointed members of the campus community; background checks and motor vehicle / driving record checks; and for general inquiries about benefit plans and Human Resources policies.
  • Carmen Ringgold, carmen.ringgold@fandm.edu, for inquiries pertaining to employment and benefits information stored in the Banner Human Resources Information System, and to gain access or for changes to time sheet approvers for staff (for student employee time sheet issues, please contact the Business Office, 291-4211).
  • Peggy Waddle, peggy.waddle@fandm.edu, for information about Family & Medical Leave; paid sick/disability leave; Workers' Compensation; COBRA; education benefits for dependents; resignation and retirement; and for general inquiries about benefit plans and Human Resources policies.
  • Laura Fiore, laura.fiore@fandm.edu, for inquiries about Human Resources policies and practices, and for consultation regarding employee-relations issues, compliance-related issues, and employment-related claims.

Please note:

  • To request or report an employment-related change, such as a title change, department change, labor distribution / salary account number change, change in reporting relationship / supervisor, or pay rate change, the manager should complete and sign the Employment Notification and Change of Status Form and submit it to the Director or Associate Director, Human Resources, CSQ, at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • If you need a report with non-confidential and non-personal data from the Banner Human Resources database, please submit a request through the ITS HelpDesk. Please submit your request at least 3 weeks in advancePlease provide a detailed request, explaining exactly what information you need.
