Human Resources

Human Resources Mission:

  • To develop, foster, and implement strategies, processes, and programs that support the College's strategic plans and priorities.
  • To be an employer of choice who attracts and retains highly qualified faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • To provide resources and tools to allow staff to enhance their skills and abilities, so they are best able to promote academic excellence and serve the College, our students, alumni, and donors.
  • To exceed the expectations of members of the campus community, and to maintain the highest level of integrity as we provide services to others.

 

Meet the Human Resources Staff:

  • Laura Fiore, Director of Human Resources, will provide guidance on Human Resources policies and practices, and will consult regarding employee-relations issues, compliance-related issues, and employment-related claims.
  • Maryann Wynn, Assistant Director, will provide assistance and guidance in the areas of professional staff recruitment, hiring and work visa/immigration; job descriptions; compensation; employee relations; professional development; and wellness.
  • Kelly Bertani, Human Resources Administrator, will provide information about benefits enrollment; the onboarding process for newly appointed members of the campus community; background checks and motor vehicle / driving record checks; and reply to general inquiries about benefit plans and Human Resources policies.
  • Christine Callender, Human Resources Administrator, will provide information about Family & Medical Leave; paid sick/disability leave; Workers' Compensation; COBRA; education benefits for dependents; resignation and retirement; and will reply to general inquiries about benefit plans and Human Resources policies.
  • Carmen Ringgold, Human Resources Administrator, will reply to inquiries pertaining to employment and benefits information stored in the Banner Human Resources Information System.
  • Kathy Smith, Business Systems Analyst, administers the information systems that empower Human Resource and Payroll.  Her work lead to a streamlined workflow, while creating maximum accuracy, reliability, and validity of the workforce data.
