Congratulations on your decision to attend Franklin & Marshall College. F&M has a proud tradition of enrolling students from around the globe and making their experience as meaningful and productive as possible. Before reading further about the steps you must take to learn about adjusting to the college and completing the necessary paperwork, visit Special Services for International Students for an overview.
Since most International Students cannot attend Beginnings, it is very important to first visit the New Student Forms Section of this website to complete the New Student Reply Form. Eventually you will closely follow directions for completing paperwork and forms that are available on the Special Services for International Students page.
Additionally, you will find the answers to many of the questions you may have regarding arriving at and settling in on the F&M campus, in the International Students Q&A.
Pay close attention to deadlines. The first critical deadline is Monday, May 7th, the date by which you should have completed your Course Registration Preferences (in the New Student Forms Section of this website) and other online forms. It is imperative that you submit your course preferences online and have gotten in touch with us via email by this time. If we receive your choices after this time, you will still get four courses in the fall, but you will not likely receive your top preferences. If you have any questions, please contact us via email at or .
Also, be sure to check your F&M email regularly! We will be communicating with you throughout the summer via email and through the web, so be sure to check your email and the New Student Programs website often.
Be sure to check out the International Students webpage if you have not already done so.
Also, be sure to inform us well in advance of the precise day on which your mailing address will change, or important documents may never reach you in time. Don't tell us "June" but June 10th!
Good luck and be in touch!
