FRANKLIN & MARSHALL RECEIVING PROGRAM 2012

This approved storage program has been set up to meet the storage needs of Franklin and Marshall students. 



The following is per shipment (please note that prices are subject to change.  Please contact Groff's Moving and Storage for up to date prices):

Receiving and administration fee: $20.00

This is a flat fee; it does not matter how many boxes you ship.


Deliver & Storage fees:

Small carton (1.5 cubic feet)  $13.00 per carton
Med. carton (3.1 cubic feet)  $15.00 per carton
Large carton (6.0 cubic feet)   $17.00 per carton

All cartons will be delivered to area between North Ben Franklin/Ware College House and Weis Residence Halls (at end the college's residential quad) on Friday, August 24 between the hours of 9 am and 1 pm (move-in day). Students may also opt to receive their belongings on Monday, August 27 or Tuesday, August 28 between 10 am and 2 pm when the company delivers items that upper class students stored in the spring. All applicable charges will need to be paid before received items will be released.

Students can opt to pick up their belongings at the Groff's Moving and Storage warehouse. Students must call Stacey at 717.653.6151/717.653.1357 and set up an appointment for M-F. There is a $30.00 fee and a minimum of 24 hour notice prior to pick up.

This approved storage program has been set up to meet the storage needs of Franklin and Marshall students. There is no limit to the quantity of the type of items, except perishable food items, to be stored.

PACKING CARTONS

It is strongly suggested that you use standardized packing cartons that will be available for sale at the Bens Underground. These cartons are uniform in size and are best suited for packing items to be stored. The storage cost is less expensive than with non-standard cartons.


Carton sizes:

  • 1.5 cubic foot, small cartons (for books and papers)
  • 3.1 cubic foot, med. Cartons (for small computer monitors or pots and pans)
  • 4.5 cubic foot, large cartons (for clothing, sheets or lighter items)

STORAGE COSTS

The summer storage (May through Aug.) charges are based on the size of cartons.

  • Storage charges are to be prepaid. (Cash or Check, Visa or Mastercard)
  • Standard limit of liability is $.60 per pound per article.

HANDLING CHARGE

  • One time charge $5.30 per carton
  • Includes the pick up, May 2 & 4 and delivery, August 27 & 28 of storage items at specified site on campus (Between North Ben/Ware College House and Weis)  between the hours of 10am to 2pm.
  • You will also be able to drop off, Saturday, May 5, and pick up Monday, August 20 storage items at our Mount Joy warehouse, between the hours of 10am to 2pm.
  • All handling charges need to be prepaid. Cash, check, Visa or Mastercard

GENERAL COMMENTS

  • All charges must be prepaid. (Cash or Check, Visa or Mastercard)
  • Pick up and delivery will occur on  two days at the end of  Spring semester, May 2 & 4 and the beginning of the Fall semester, August 27 & 28 between the hours of 10am to 2pm.
  • Students can opt to pick up their belongings at our warehouse, Mon. - Fri. There is a $30.00 fee and a minimum of 24-hour notice prior to pick up.
  • We are able to accommodate specific pick up and delivery requests to student housing at a rate of  $55.00 per hour with a 3-hour minimum,
