Guide to Online Resources for Students who are away from Campus

The following links provide Franklin & Marshall students a means to continue their coursework if they are away from campus for an extended period (e.g. medical leave). You will need access to a computer with an active connection to the Internet.

The best place to start is the College's secure portal Inside F&M ( where students can find available courses and register, look up grades, track their degree audit, look up directory information and many other tasks.

You will also find links to online tools and resources that will let you complete your assignments and research and submit them to your professors. You will of course need to make arrangements with each of your professors as to which method to use. The most useful links are:

    • The College's course/learning management system (CMS/LMS) is a web-based solution for online delivery of course-based instructional materials that is used by most professors.
    • This website provides access to all of the Library Resources (books, journals, articles, full-text on-line materials, etc.) for the College.
    • eDisk provides personal space for electronic document storage and information exchange for students, faculty and professional staff that is available from anywhere via the internet.
    • The official email system for the College is available from your web browser at this address.

You will need to log in with your NetID and password to gain access to your private materials and you may need to authenticate with VPN in order to use some of the library resources.
