Employee Computer Backup Service
We would like to invite faculty and professional staff to take advantage of our backup service. This service is available on both Macs and Windows computers. ITS will provide up to 50 gigabytes of space on a central server in our data center to back up files in the home folder of your college-issued computer. We will not back up applications, personal music, or graphic files. However, we will back up images and music used in teaching. If you are using webmail or IMAP protocols for your email as we recommend, your email is already being backed up.
Both the Mac and Windows implementation of our backup service use a backup utility called CrashPlan.
