The CAT Equipment is available to Franklin & Marshall College faculty for experimentation, curriculum development, and/or research purposes.

Equipment should not be borrowed for:

Personal or entertainment use

Community nonprofit organizations or businesses

Student use (equipment is available to students through the Media Services equipment pool)

A typical loan period is 7 days; extended loans are available under special circumstances upon request. iPad loan period is up to 30 consecutive days.

In order to make sure the equipment is available, please submit a request at least 48 hours in advance.

The faculty member must complete the CAT Equipment Pool Request Form.

The requesting faculty member will pick up and return equipment personally.

Training of equipment usage is available upon request.

Damage or loss of CAT equipment will result a charge of replacement costs to the equipment borrower.

Where do I return the equipment?
Return all CAT equipment to an IET Instructional Technologist in Harris Center.

What is the loan period?
A typical loan period is 7 days; extended loans are available under special circumstances upon request. The exception is the iPad which can be borrowed for up to 30 days.

Can I extend my equipment loan period?
You may coordinate with an IET Instructional Technologist on extending your CAT equipment loan period.

Can I reserve CAT equipment in advance?
Although CAT equipment is available at a first-come first-served base, you may still reserve equipment.

Who is responsible for theft, damage or loss of the equipment?
Faculty member borrowing equipment is financially responsible for the equipment replaces upon loss or damage.
