Computer Purchase Recommendations for the Class of 2016
Franklin & Marshall College recommends and supports the Macintosh platform. Computers equipped with the Windows operating system are also fully compatible with the complete array of network services. Students bringing a Windows or older Mac system to campus should be aware of the following minimum configurations necessary to take advantage of the campus network and to successfully run all college-supported programs.

For Windows platform: Windows XP SP3 or newer
