Kathy provides career advising to students in Ware and Weis College Houses in the Office of Student & Post-Graduate Development. She has previously worked in the Office of Alumni Programs and Annual Giving and the former Career Advisement Services at F&M. She has also worked in Career Services and as a part-time Academic Adviser at Penn State University, Berks Campus. Kathy worked at HACC Lancaster with the KEYS Program and as the Interim Director of Multicultural Programs. She has taught the course “Effective Career Decision Making” at both Penn State University and Harrisburg Area Community College. She is a Certified Administrator of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
Kathy has a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from George Mason University and Master of Education in Student Affairs & Higher Education from Kutztown University. She has taken graduate coursework in School & Mental Health Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania.
Kathy is a member of the F&M Mindfulness Committee. During the school year, she helps to lead Mindfulness Meditation on Monday mornings at 8 am and Friday afternoons at 2 pm in the Writer's House and the Mindfulness Book Group on Wednesdays at noon in the Wohlsen Center.
