Before Rosie the Riveter, There Were the Women of World War I

Women joining the male-dominated war workplace first occurred during World War I. Their contributions had a significant impact on the war and on the social changes that occurred after the fighting stopped, according to the findings of a research project focusing on media of the World War I era by a Franklin & Marshall College professor and student researcher.
