Parents looking for child care now have a new resource. The newly remodeled College Hill Children’s Center has opened, expanding the available slots for children from 56 to 200.
Located a few blocks east of the College at 417 W. Frederick St., the center is a collaborative effort of Franklin & Marshall College and Lancaster General Hospital. The day-care center operated for more than a decade in the Marshall-Buchanan residence hall. This past summer, the center moved into a brighter space in the same building as Albright Care Services, an adult day-care facility. The move will allow for the possibility of cross-generational programs.
College Hill Children’s Center is affiliated with Hildebrandt Learning Centers and has received the highest rating for quality early education in Pennsylvania — a Keystone Star Level Four — as well as accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
First priority for child-care slots is given to parents who are F&M and LGH employees. For more information, call 509-1502, or e-mail center director Andrea Brown at .
