Sheena Crawley ’13 earned All-America honors with an 11th-place finish at the 2011 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships at the Lake Breeze Golf Club hosted by Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Nov. 19.
Crawley completed the 6-kilometer course in 21:22:36. She was in 22nd place at the one-mile mark and moved up one position by the two-mile mark. She moved up four spots by the three-mile mark and passed six runners down the stretch to finish 11th.
Crawley improved 79 places from last year’s 90th-place finish to earn her third All-America certificate (two in track, one in cross country). She joins Denise Paull ’84, Lois Lucente ’86, Amanda Shaw ’87 and Terri Smith ’86 as Diplomat runners who have received All-America honors in cross country.
