Three weeks after members of Franklin & Marshall’s Class of 2012 joined the ranks of the College’s alumni, scores of familiar faces are preparing to return to campus to relive their own memories as F&M students—and reconnect with the place they once called home.
The College expects to welcome more than 1,000 alumni and guests at its 2012 Reunion Weekend, slated for June 1-3. This year’s festivities, designed for class years ending in “2” and “7,” include dinners, campus tours, and numerous programs and special events that will give alumni a chance to connect with the College and one another.
“Reunion is about reconnecting generations of alumni with each other and with F&M. That's the really great thing, and it's always fun,” said Cathy Cross Roman ’77, F&M’s director of alumni relations, who is celebrating her 35th Reunion this year. “It's also an opportunity for alumni to visit their alma mater and see all the exciting changes that have taken place on campus over the past few years.”
Complete information about Reunion Weekend, including a schedule of events and answers to frequently asked questions, is available on F&M’s Reunion website.

This year marks the 50th reunion for F&M’s Class of 1962. At a luncheon on June 1 in the Alumni Sports & Fitness Center, members of the class will be inducted into the Nevonian Society, which honors alumni and surviving spouses of departed classmates who have reached the 50th anniversary of their graduation.
Many other events are spotlighted in the Reunion schedule, including Reunion Alumni College, in which F&M faculty members share their current work with alumni; the annual alumni toast to professors and coaches; the Saturday evening party on Hartman Green; and class dinners. Times and locations for all events are available online.
A central part of the weekend is the Reunion Class Parade, which marches through the center of campus to the Alumni Celebration in the Barshinger Center for Musical Arts on June 2. The Alumni Celebration includes class reflections and remarks from F&M President Daniel R. Porterfield.
The College will honor several alumni with awards during the Alumni Celebration:
