  • F&M students line up for fresh comfort food during Flapjack Fest last December in the Ben Franklin Dining Hall.

Two of Franklin & Marshall’s end-of-semester traditions return next week to help students settle their nerves and provide some fun before final exams.

Hundreds of students are expected to attend Flapjack Fest in the Ben Franklin Dining Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 13, between 9 p.m. and midnight. Held each semester, the event brings students together for breakfast fare just before the beginning of final exams. The Office of College Programs, College Entertainment Committee and the College Houses co-sponsor the event.

Members of the faculty and professional staff pitch in to help serve the meal; 15 FPS signed up by Tuesday, with the number continuing to rise. Items on the menu include cheesy eggs, regular eggs and cereal, in addition to pancakes.

The CEC will host Stressbusters the evening prior to the Flapjack Fest, Dec. 12, between 9 and 11 p.m. in the atrium of Steinman College Center. The event will have a ’90s theme and will include games, massages, crafts and a henna artist. It will also include food from McDonald’s, Taco Bell, pizza and ’90s treats such as dunkaroos.
