Franklin & Marshall Hillel recently received the Hillel Vision & Value Award for Indispensible Campus Partnership from Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life. The organization charters more than 500 Hillel chapters on college and university campuses worldwide.
The award recognizes F&M Hillel’s work in integrating the campus community into the planning and implementation of Hillel initiatives; sharing resources with various departments and organizations; promoting initiatives, events and services that inform the campus; and gaining public recognition from influential leaders in the campus community.
It specifically recognized F&M Hillel for demonstrating how the group has worked with the College through the establishment of the Klehr Center for Jewish Life and a Kosher, International, Vegan, Organic (KIVO) meal plan in the College’s dining hall.
The foundation recognized F&M Hillel for “serving as a small and mighty model of diversity, inclusion and spiritual growth” in the campus community.
