Kappa Delta Presents ‘Pump It Up’

Franklin & Marshall College’s Kappa Delta sorority will host “Pump it Up” on Saturday, April 7, on Hartman Green. The event, which calls attention to building confidence in girls and young women, runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During the event, women and men will walk through the F&M campus in high heels. Tickets are $5, including the price of lunch, and are available for purchase through April 6 in Steinman College Center. Proceeds benefit Prevent Child Abuse America and Kappa Delta's local beneficiary, The Bridge of Hope of Lancaster and Chester Counties.

“Kappa Delta is committed to the installation of confidence and the empowerment of women,” said Emily Song ’13, vice president of community service for the Kappa Delta chapter at F&M and a psychology major. “We are very excited that we chose an event that encompasses women everywhere—moms going to meetings, powerful business women in the work place, or teenagers on their first dates. Pump It Up allows us to embody every girl and let them know that they have the capacity to be powerful every day.”
