Franklin & Marshall College has named Carrie Rampp, who most recently served as director of Library Services and Instructional Technology at Bucknell University, associate vice president for Information Technology and chief information officer.

Rampp started March 1.

"Carrie brings a level of skill and ability needed to meet the constant challenges that IT presents," said David Proulx, F&M's vice president for Finance and Administration, Treasurer, and Title IX Coordinator. "The College is excited to have her on board."

Prior to arriving at Bucknell in 2008, Rampp served in various IT and library roles for 12 years at Middlebury College. She brings a full portfolio of experience to the job.

"It's going to be a great new challenge," Rampp said. "I'm really looking forward to the opportunities and the new avenues the College wants to explore. I think there is a lot of interesting work ahead."

Rampp received a bachelor's degree from Randolph-Macon Woman's College, a masters of arts in modern/early modern American history from Southern Methodist University, and a masters of library and information sciences from Syracuse University.

Rampp assumed the helm from the department's recent associate vice president, Jonathan Enos, who transitioned March 1 to a dual role serving as 50 percent Project Boost Manager and 50 percent Capital Projects Manager.

After September 1, Enos will transition to Capital Projects Manager full time for the Facilities and Operations Department.

"With Jon's vast experience in IT and facilities planning, he's a perfect fit for the College as we enter Phase II of Project Boost and embark on several building renovation projects over the next several years," Proulx said.
