After spending a gap year in Guatemala, junior Anna Folz was inspired to start the student-run group Impulso, which aims to provide solar stoves to Guatemalan families so they can cook food with the heat of the sun rather than using costly firewood.
Swim to Success, F&M SLAM and Squash ACES are afterschool programs that combine mentorship and sports training to help local elementary and middle school students build skills and confidence.
