Experienced in solo, orchestra, and chamber music playing, Mr. Mu has received numerous awards for excellence in interpretation in China and the United States. As a member of the Beijing Piano Quartet, he was a winner of the New York Artist International Debut Series, 1994. Mr. Mu has played chamber music recitals in Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall, Bruno Walter Auditorium, and Alice Tully Hall. He was Artistic Director of the International Music Festival and School in Colombia, South America. As such, Mr. Mu has presented numerous concert tours, and master classes throughout the country. He was formerly principal violist of the Saginaw Symphony Orchestra and assistant principal of the Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra. He also served as a conductor of the Manalapan Advance Prep Orchestra and was a faculty member of the Westminster Conservatory of Rider University.
Mr. Mu holds a Bachelor's degree from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. As a student of Michael Tree, he received a Master of Music degree from Rutgers University.
