Franklin and Marshall competes in the Centennial Conference at the NCAA Division III level and offers 27 Men's and Women's Varsity sports including:

- The men's basketball team ranks second in NCAA Division III wins in the last 25 years; having made 21 NCAA championship appearances; 15 trips to the NCAA "Sweet 16," nine to the "Elite Eight," and five to the "Final Four." The team has claimed 16 conference titles and boasts a total of 16 players with 22 All-American Honors.
- The Women's Lacrosse team has also excelled, making 14 NCAA playoff appearances and winning the NCAA Division III national championship in 2007 and 2009. The squad has produced 54 All-Americans and seven national players of the year.
In addition to Varsity Athletics, F&M offers 12 club sports teams and 4 intramural sport seasons.
