F&M’s Class of '17 is now in place, just as our Class of '13 graduates. The four years our students spend at F&M fly by for them -- and for their parents. I always have to remind myself of the cyclical nature of a college environment. While I dread saying farewell to our beloved seniors, I am excited about the wonderful first-year students who will be joining us very soon! If your child is a graduating senior, please know that F&M will miss him or her, and that your student will always be part of our F&M family -- we look forward to welcoming them back to campus often for events or just for a visit.
Keep an eye out for information that will soon be emailed to you about our slate of summer Welcome Parties. These are excellent opportunities for you and your student to welcome the College's newest students and their families into our community before classes begin.
Enjoy your summer!
All the best,

Senior Parents -- Stay Connected
Thank you for sharing your student with us for the last four years! As you
graduate to "past parents" we want to encourage you to stay connected to
the Franklin & Marshall community. Though you'll no longer receive this
e-newsletter after the June issue, you can subscribe to
The Diplomat, a
weekly email highlighting key happenings on campus. Or consider
bookmarking the F&M News site, which provides you with regular updates
about the College. The Franklin & Marshall Magazine is available
well. As a past parent, you also are most welcome to participate in on-
and off-campus F&M events. Watch the
parents website to learn about the
many opportunities you have to keep your F&M network alive.
Here are some items that may be of interest to you and your graduate:
Did you know the Office of Student and Post-Graduate Development continues to support your student after graduation whether he or she knows which pathways to pursue or is uncertain of next steps. Learn more about how the College can help your graduate by visiting the office's website.
F&M graduates have an opportunity to receive exclusive savings on auto and home insurance through Liberty Mutual Insurance. In addition, Liberty Mutual offers life, motorcycle, condo, renters and personal liability insurance. Customer service representatives will explain available options in clear terms and recommend the coverage that best suits your graduate's needs. To learn more about Liberty Mutual insurance or get a free, no-obligation quote, call 800-524-9400 or visit www.LibertyMutual.com/fandm.
Graduates may keep their F&M email for life, giving them a consistent email address as they move into life as alumni.
We want to keep in touch with our F&M graduates! Please encourage your son or daughter to let us know his or her new address, or send it to us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with that information.
F&M is grateful for all our parent and senior donors -- you still have time to support the Franklin & Marshall Fund this year. Check out this texting conversation that we're sure has been sent between F&M seniors and their parents -- have you discussed giving to F&M with your senior?
Notice from Mail Services
Student mailboxes in the Steinman College Center close Monday, May 13, following Commencement. Students taking courses or doing research over the summer will be assigned a new mailbox. Other students staying on campus for the summer must alert Mail Services to ask for a summer box.
Mail Services will forward first-class mail only to students who have their address available on Inside F&M, the College's Web portal. Students who have withheld their name and address must provide a forwarding address to Mail Services so their mail can be sent to them.
Summer Receiving Program
The College is once again partnering with Groff's Moving and Storage to meet the summer shipping and receiving needs of our students. Students received the details of these programs (such as delivery dates and fees) in their campus mailboxes. Further questions can be directed to Stacey at Groff's: 717-653-6151 or 717-653-1357 or email@example.com.
Your Support Is Appreciated
As we approach the end of our fiscal year June 30, we ask for your philanthropic, tax-deductible support of the College. Parent gifts sustain the daily experience of our students, faculty, advisers, coaches and staff while giving the College’s leaders the flexibility to take advantage of opportunities that enhance student life. Your gift may be made in honor of your daughter or son, or in honor of a favorite professor or coach. Click here to give online today. Thank you for your consideration!
