Groups Currently Meeting at Writers House

The Lancaster Dramatists' Platform, a local playwriting group, has presented over fifty plays by various members, several of which have been developed into fully staged productions. The group meets twice a month to read and discuss new work, as well as to plan and rehearse public readings, giving playwrights a chance to hear their words performed by actors in front of an audience. Please email for more information.

Alumni Book Club started meeting in Stager Hall in February 2001 under the leadership of Dr. Robert Russell, Professor Emeritus. They currently meet in the Writers House once a month over the summer and every other week during the academic year, reading a wide variety of books. Dr. Russell still leads the groups as his schedules allows.
