Kind Words and Kudos

In Praise of the Writers House

We appreciate your feedback about the Writers House and our events. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us and with all who visit us on the web.

Kerry,

Thank you and everyone from the Writers House for the awesome display of hospitality shown towards the cross country team last night. Everything from the meal to the lecture to the time spent with Chris and the signed copies of his book were greatly appreciated. It was quite a crowd there last night, as I'm sure you heard. We had 28 of the 32 varsity cross country runners there! Chris was very engaging and I feel we could have stayed there all night to talk, without even getting too much into running. I hope to have him join our team at practice in the future so we can resume our discussions and tap into his wealth of experience. This is the type of collaboration that the liberal arts experience and athletics strives for, well done.

With Appreciation,

John Stoudt

"Writers House and the people here have welcomed, taught, comforted, fed, encouraged, and inspired me these past four years. The friendships I've made will last a lifetime, the house has become a home away from home, and every moment I've spent in this wonderful community will continue to shape my life long after I leave F&M."  - Cassie Lees '10

"We are SO grateful! The house was ideal and you were so generous with your time and hospitality. Everyone at the party has commented to us on what a delightful time they had, and how elegant the party was. It truly was a gala affair." - Professor Dorothy Merritts
