The Grundy Observatory is located on Baker Campus just off Harrisburg Pike. Public observing night at the observatory is the third Monday of each month all year. There is no charge and parking is available.
If the weather is in doubt, please check the Grundy clear sky clock and Jeri's viewing update page for information about whether a public observing session is going to be held or not.
Public observing sessions are held in conjuction with the Astronomy Enthusiasts of Lancaster County (AELC). AELC club members bring their expertise and telescopes to the sessions, and they can provide additional views through their telescopes, along with giving visitors an opportunity to make comparisons and see different types of telescopes that they may be able to afford.
For questions about the observatory public night, call Lynn Johnson at (717) 291-4136.
