Campus Crime Alert

2ND Incident

On February 8, 2013 at approximately 10:40 am, an F&M student was robbed in the 400 block of West Frederick St.  The student’s cell phone was taken and no injuries occurred.  There were no weapons displayed.

The victim was approached by a black male approximately 5’9”, 160 lbs, thin build, wearing a black pea coat and a black beanie.  He pushed her and took the cell phone from her hand.  He ran east on Frederick St towards Charlotte St.

This incident is under investigation by the Department of Public Safety and Lancaster City Police Department. Anyone who has any information is requested to contact the Police at 717-735-3300 or Public Safety at 291-3939. Callers can remain anonymous.

Members of the campus community are urged to take normal personal safety precautions such as walking with other students, securing all personal items while walking and reporting all suspicious persons and activity to the Department of Public Safety. This federal law requires a general communication to the campus community of all crimes reported to campus or local police departments that may pose a threat to the campus community. Such reports shall be provided to students and employees in a manner that is timely and that may aid in the prevention of similar occurrences.


1st Incident

On February 5, 2013 at approximately 10:00 PM, a non F&M female was robbed of her cell phone at Walnut and Pine Streets.  No weapon was displayed. After the incident, the female ran to a local business and asked for assistance and the Lancaster Bureau of Police (LBP) was contacted. This incident is under investigation by the LBP and anyone who may have information is asked to contact them at 735-3300. Callers can remain anonymous.
