Hillel, a "home away from home" for Jewish students, is an affiliate of the national B'nai B'rith Hillel Foundations. Hillel, located in the Klehr Center for Jewish Life at 645 College Avenue, hosts many campus events, such as bagel breakfasts, a mock Jewish wedding, Holocaust Remembrance Events, Shabbat dinners, speakers, holiday parties and much more. Hillel Cafes, held Wednesday evenings at 9 p.m., are open to all who are interested. Dean Ralph Taber and Jordan Stutz advise Hillel. For more information please visit the F&M Hillel Web site.
The Klehr Center for Jewish Life and the college's thriving Hillel chapter serve as an extended family for Jewish students, helping them celebrate their heritage—and rituals—while away from home.
The Lancaster Chabad Center and the F&M Student Chabad group provide warm hospitality, good food, learning and fun activities in traditional setting. The Chabad House is across the street from campus at 620 Race Avenue. For more details please visit the Lancaster Chabad web site.
Rabbis Jack P. Paskoff (Reform), Stephan Parnes (Conservative), Shaya Sackett (Orthodox) and Elazar Green (Chabad) are available for service to the campus and local community.
