VITA stands for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and our site is run through a partnership with the United Way of Lancaster County. This incredible volunteer experience allows students to earn their basic certification in tax preparation from the IRS and put it to use by filing tax returns for low-income residents of Lancaster.
There are two types of volunteer needs at F&M's VITA site - students who receive IRS training to become certified tax preparers and untrained volunteers to serve as greeters, translators and assistants with site set up and tear down. Please contact . For more information about volunteer opportunities with VITA please click on this link.
