"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn."
- Ben Franklin

The Ware Institute for Civic Engagement is thrilled to announce a pilot program called “F&M Works in Lancaster.” Thanks to a two-year grant from the James Hale Steinman Foundation, F&M will be able to pay 20 students this year (and 40 next year) to work in the community with non-profit organizations. Students will work for 10/hours per week for the entire academic year (September – May).

Through this initiative, F&M will work closely with our community partners to allocate student workers where they are needed and further develop programs and partnerships for which there is growing demand.
