Welcome F&M Students!
Thank you for your interest in the F&M Works in Lancaster program at Franklin & Marshall College. Through this initiative, F&M will work closely with our community partners to allocate student workers where they are needed and further develop programs and partnerships for which there is growing demand.
This opportunity is ideal for students who have been awarded work-study as part of their financial aid package, however, it is not required. Unfortunately, international students (those with F-1 Visa’s) are not eligible due to government restrictions on working off-campus.
F&M Works in Lancaster will match students who are passionate about a range of social issues with local organizations actively working to address these issues in the Lancaster community, from literacy and keeping students on track to attend college to public health and refugee resettlement services. Our goal is to provide additional support to local non-profit organizations by supplying creative, knowledgeable and energetic interns, on a consistent, long-term basis, at no cost. In so doing, we will also expose our students to a great range of opportunities to engage in meaningful work that adds a real-world dimension to their classroom learning and helps prepare them for life after college.
