F&M Students

Welcome F&M Students!

Thank you for your interest in the F&M Works in Lancaster program.  We match students who are passionate about a range of social issues with organizations actively working to address these issues in the Lancaster community. Our goal is to provide additional support to local non-profit organizations by supplying creative, knowledgeable and energetic interns, on a consistent, long-term basis, at no cost. In so doing, we will also expose our students to a great range of opportunities to engage in meaningful work that adds a real-world dimension to their classroom learning and helps prepare them for life after college.

This opportunity is ideal for students who have been awarded work-study as part of their financial aid package, however, it is not required.

Please note that transportation can no longer be provided by F&M.  For interns that do not have transportation, those that have a valid driver's license can register with Auxiliary Services to reserve a college-owned mini-van or students can use public transportation.

For international students (those with F-1 Visa’s), it is required that you arrange an internship-for-credit, in your field of study, that corresponds to your F&M Works internship. Please contact  in the International Programs office for assistance with fulfilling the requirements for CPT approval.

For more information please contact , F&M Works in Lancaster Coordinator, at 717-291-4164.

The application period for 2014 is now over.

If you need assistance with crafting your resume and cover letter, call the Office of Student and Post-Graduate Development (OSPGD) at (717) 291-4084 to make an appointment with your student development adviser.
