Only students who are Marshall Scholars can apply for this award. Marshall funds cannot be used if a program has course credit. Funds can be used for alternative break programs, if your proposal is approved.
If you are thinking of participating in the 2012 Summer Community-based Learning courses in Ecuador or South Africa and need scholarship funds, please contact Associate Dean in the Office of International Programs.

The Ware Institute for Civic Engagement is pleased to offer this alternative winter break community-based learning trip. This is a joint project between Franklin & Marshall College and the Heritage Academy in Ghana, West Africa. Through this program F&M students will gain exposure to global issues while helping the Heritage students to find solutions to some local problems.
