How Do I Get Started Volunteering?
Completing the online Volunteer Form is a good first step. Once you complete the form one of the Ware Institute interns will contact to set a time to meet to discuss your volunteer interests.
Next, check out our Volunteer FAQs so you can be familiar with them when you meet with one of our interns.
What Kind of Volunteer Opportunities Are Available?
The Ware Institute has lots of community partner connections in Lancaster. There are quite a few in walking distance from campus and some opportunities are available on campus.
Whether you want to help refugees learn English as a second language, tutor elementary school children, help at a food bank, become a big brother or big sister, work at a local boys & girls club, or pet shelter, let us help you connect. We can assist with any clearances that may be required to work with children, arrange transportation if needed, and will be here to answer any questions or concerns about your volunteer organization.
