Assembly of Peers

  • Amanda Loh '13

    Chair

I am a junior American Studies major. When I’m not inundating your e-mail with updates on Weis events, I am tutoring at the Writing Center, doing something with the sisters of Alpha Phi, or participating in an F&M Cares community service project. I am also a PIT Assistant as well as a member of .08. While I enjoy planning Weis events and getting to know other Weis residents, my favorite House moments involve working with the other House leaders promoting community spirit.

    Vice Chair

I am a junior with a biochemistry major and applied mathematics minor. I am involved with the International Women's Outreach Committee, Phi Sigma Pi Honors Fraternity, F&M Cares, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Pep Band, F&M Unleashed, and Habitat for Humanity. My favorite Weis moment would be anything involved the House events! The Assembly of Peers schedules many events, but two of my favorites were trips to Cherry Crest Farm, where there was a great corn maze, and ice skating last year!  I love doing events with my Weis friends!

    Secretary

I am currently a junior and have been on the Assembly since my freshman year. I am currently serving as Vice President of Programming Development for Alpha Phi, President of the Blue & White Society, a tour guide, and I act as the sorority representative for the Public Safety Task Force. My favorite Weis memory comes from freshman year. It was the end of spring semester and I remember many members of Weis crying as their friends were leaving for the summer break. This showed me just how close Weis House had made all the students living in the dorm.

    Treasurer

I am a junior Biology major. I am the current Treasurer of the Diplomatic Congress as well as the secretary Delta Sigma Phi. I love to serve others and am also a member of the VITA Program. I was also an HA for Weis last year. My favorite Weis moment would be getting the opportunity to help plan the Sam Adams concert with the other House governments.

    Chief Justice

I am a sophomore who will most likely major in Biology and minor in English or Hebrew. I am from Sharon, Massachusetts, a small, close-knit town south of Boston. Aside from the Red Sox of course, I love skiing, bacon, singing off-key with the radio while driving in my car, and my 1,356,983 cats. I am a member of the Rumspringa improvisational comedy group on campus as well as vice president of the F&M Jesters, Franklin and Marshall's newest stand-up comedy group. After joining the Weis AOP team at the end of my freshman year, I was appointed Chief Justice of the Weis House Dispute Resolution Council. I am super excited to work with AOP and promise a plethora of sesame and poppy seeds on Bagel Wednesdays for all. Though Weis House is replacing former Schnader House, the familial, warm, and lively community of ol' Schnader lives on.

I am a sophomore and a prospective Public Health Major / Chemistry Minor. On campus, I am part of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and on the Club Soccer Team. I am excited to be on Weis Assembly of Peers this year and making Weis the best house on campus.  My favorite Weis/ Schnader moment last year was playing on the Schnader house intramural volleyball team with hall mates and friends.

I'm a rising sophomore who is a member of the cross country/track and field team on campus. I'm a part of Phi Kappa Psi and a member of the assembly. I write for the College Reporter from time to time offering my witty and clairvoyant insight on political matters even though I may be a bit biased, probably from the fact that I am a Democrat, which explains why I'm part of the F&M Democrats on campus as well. I would have to say one of my favorite memories from Schnader/Weis House was during my freshmen year when I remember walking to my room and my roommate was storing fruit within our refrigerator, only this same piece of fruit had probably been there for about a month. When I inquired as to why he left it there so long he replied "Tryin to make apple juice". Only my roommate.

I'm currently a junior Biology major and Applied Mathematics minor. In addition to AOP, the rest of my hard work goes to my job at the Registrar's Office and being a House Advisor here in Weis. For fun, I'm a member of the F&M Dance Company and Alpha Delta Pi. Besides meeting Amanda Loh my freshman year, my favorite Weis moment was being able to help plan and facilitate orientation for the class of 2015. I also really enjoyed this year's trip to Hershey Park and all the events AOP has been able to sponsor in the beautiful Weis Common Spaces.

My name is Jessica Love and I am a first year student at F&M.  As well as being on the Weis Assembly of Peers, I run cross country and track and I am hoping to get involved in one of the human rights clubs on campus.  My favorite Weis moment, so far was when on move in day, my parents brought me some things I had left at home and the guys helping me carry it were so confused at the assortment of things I packed, not realizing I had already moved in for preseason.  I am looking forward to all of the exciting events that Assembly of Peers is planning for the year ahead.

I am a freshmen and I am interested in studying the humanities while at F&M.  Since this is my first year on the Weis Assembly of Peers, I look forward to presenting my ideas to the House and improving current House traditions.  I hope to share the ideas of other Weis House members with the assembly, too.  I will serve on the Outreach committee.  In addition to the AOP, I plan to get involved with F&M Cares and would like to become an F&M tour guide.
