This is the last week for Spring into Fitness, so this will be our last Fit Tip!
Last week's exercise focused on the biceps and triceps muscles. This week we are going to focus on the shoulder muscles. Many people forget their shoulder muscles, but these are important stabilizer muscles for many of our daily activities. Most people don't think about them until they have a problem. Adding some shoulder exercises and stretches will help maintain properly mobility and functioning of the shoulder.
There are a variety of ways to work these muscles. Try some of these exercises from the links below: lateral raise, front raise to shoulder level, shoulder shrug, and bent-over rear deltoid raise
Try the attached shoulder stretches in your office throughout the day to improve your posture and to stretch those tight muscles that develop from working at your desk.
