A minor in Women's and Gender Studies consists of six courses, chosen in consultation with the chairperson: four courses in Women's and Gender Studies chosen from at least two different divisions (humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences); Women's and Gender Studies 210; and an advanced course or an independent study.
A major in Women's and Gender Studies may be arranged through the Special Studies Program. A joint major combines eight courses from WGS and eight courses from another department. See the chair of WGS to plan a course of study and choose an advisor.

Alison Kibler, includes classes from a broad range of disciplines including Africana Studies, American Studies, Anthropology, Art History, Classics, Economics, English, French, Government, History, Religious Studies, Science, Sociology, Spanish, and Theatre, Dance and Film.
