All residence halls and theme houses are CLOSED Monday, December 16, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. through Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. You may return to the residence halls and theme houses after 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2014. Classes begin on Tuesday, January 14, 2014. Please make your travel plans keeping these important dates in mind.
If you need to and/or are required to remain on campus during that time period, please complete the Winter Break Housing Request Form (see link below). All request forms must be submitted by December 9, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. If your request is denied you will be informed via email within 48 hours of the request. If you do not receive approval, you must vacate your room for winter break by Monday, December 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. Failure to abide by this policy will result in a financial penalty charged to your student account for each day you have remained on campus. All key FOBs will be turned off during this break unless a student is approved to stay in their residence hall or theme house room.
In an effort to conserve energy over the winter break, the thermostats in the residence halls and theme houses will be lower than usual. Please be prepared with sweatshirts and blankets for extra warmth.
If you are approved to remain on campus, you will stay in your current room during that time period. If you need kitchen access during the break, please indicate in the notes section of the winter break form.
The Department of Public Safety will be conducting regular walk throughs of the residence hall common areas during winter break for the safety and security of all students.
