Evenings are growing cool as they close in on the shrinking violet that is daylight’s savings. As you and fellow F&Mily members (re)discover campus, thanks to the rhythms of the academic season, even the mornings are changing—later to rise after sleeping so long during the ambitious nights.
But if you come visit us in Diagnothian 200 during the early hours, you may be lucky enough to see the glittering divides of kaleidoscoping, breaking, and bending colors that shine daily into our Center like messengers from the stained-glass window opposite our front door. Grab your brightest-eyed brew and come on over and contemplate the colors.
Better yet, have a cup on us. New to the Center this semester is a proficient twelve-cup coffee maker, which perfectly partners with a selection of assorted ceramic mugs. So drop by, have a cup, and grab a handful of M&Ms—a favorite Writing Center tradition passed down from Mrs. Ann Campbell, our first secretary. The dispenser is currently well-stocked with the Peanut Butter variety. Kick back on one of our comfy couches and enjoy the lofty ceiling—one that offers room enough for all your great ideas!
Register on our website to make an appointment online, or just come visit with us in Diagnothian 200; we have three iMacs—lovingly referred to as F. Scott Fitzgerald, Toni Morrison, and Thomas Pynchon—always available for drop-by and in-session student writing.
During our busiest times, when the schedule is full, any appointments that open due to an unforeseen cancellation will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to any student present. We are looking forward to seeing you!
