Franklin & Marshall College to participate in a two-year project funded by a $600,000 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF)

The NSF's Partnerships for Innovation awarded the grant to Penn State Harrisburg last month, with F&M and Dickinson College serving as the primary partner institutions. The project is titled "Overcoming Cultural Chasms: Maximizing Innovations for Smaller University/Industry Partnerships." more>

 

Jana Iyengar is awarded $171,619 from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to support his project titled "Tng, a Next Generation Transport Services Architecture."Jana Iyengar

The grant is part of a collaboration with Yale University and is funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Iyengar will investigate ways to change Internet architecture, the transportation system through which information travels from computer to computer.  more>

 

 

Jorge Men-Ali, visiting assistant professor of biology, receives a $173,000 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for his project titled "Disease as a Driver of Diversification in Life History, Pathogenicity and Reproductive Stages."

Mena-Alí's project stems from an increasing interest in understanding the dynamics of disease transmission across species, particularly as recent infections such as HIV, avian influenza and H1N1 have directly affected human populations.  more>
