Applications
Once you have attended Starting Points and met with your off-campus study adviser, you are ready to apply to your program of choice. The following guidelines will help you manage this process. Check back in with the staff of the Office of International Programs with questions as you complete your application.
Application Components
Each off-campus study program has its own application procedure. Some programs have online application systems, while others require all materials to be submitted on paper. A typical application consists of:
General application
Personal essay
Letter of recommendation from faculty
Official transcript from Franklin & Marshall (requested from the Registrar's Office)
Approval form (drop off any approval forms at the Office of International Programs for signature)
Application fee
Application Deadlines
Again, each program has its own deadline for application. Most programs accept students on a rolling basis, so applying in advance of the final date is recommended. Be sure that you know when your application is due and that you make arrangements for all components to be mailed/faxed/emailed by the correct date. General date ranges for application, by term are as follows:
Fall Semester/Academic Year
January 15-May 15
Spring Semester
May 15-November 15
Summer
February 1-May 15
