Application Procedures

Semester/Academic Year Applications

All application materials should be returned to the Office of International Programs in the Joseph International Center.  Applications will subsequently be mailed to the program.

Summer Session Applications

Application materials for the Advanced Studies in England Summer Session should be mailed directly to the faculty member teaching the chosen seminar.  Follow the instructions on the ASE Web site.

Application Components

The semester/academic year application for Advanced Studies in England consists of:

Application Form (complete and print from the ASE Web site)

Letter of Recommendation (required for all Franklin & Marshall students, regardless of GPA)

Official Transcript from Franklin & Marshall (request from the Registrar's Office)

Undated check for $50, payable to ASE

Application Deadlines

Advanced Studies in England has two application deadlines for semester/academic year applicants.  Students who apply before the recommended deadline will be considered on a rolling basis.  Students who submit materials after the recommended deadline will be considered after the final deadline.  Because Franklin & Marshall mails applications on behalf of students, materials must be turned in two weeks before the actual deadline date.  The following dates reflect that two week gap.

Spring Semester
Recommended Deadline: September 15
Final Deadline: October 1

Summer Session
Final Deadline: February 18
