Intellectual and Social Hubs

Most colleges promise students comfortable living spaces, fast Internet connections and opportunities for socializing. But the reality of housing on most campuses is a hodgepodge of dorms that become little more than places to sleep and unwind between classes, with oversight provided by harried resident assistants.
At Franklin & Marshall, housing is more than just a place to live. It's a place to learn.
Franklin & Marshall's College House system is a blend of the academic and the social, of opportunity and discipline, of friendship and service. And it is governed by the students, with the advice and oversight of faculty dons and prefects, whose House offices ensure a continual connection between the College's academic vision and students' practical needs.
The goal is to get students involved with college life beyond the classroom, to learn to make their own way, both socially and academically.
Franklin & Marshall College's commitment to individualized learning, to the mind-expanding power of the liberal arts and to academic excellence threads its way through the College House system.
