Eligibility

Off-campus study should be a demonstrated part of your degree at Franklin & Marshall...

As a broader investigation of a culture  different from you own
As a language immersion opportunity
As a chance to enhance your major, minor, or liberal arts education

Eligibility

Students considering off-campus study must meet the following requirements:

Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
Plan to declare a major area of study before attending an off-campus program
Satisfactory academic progress
Evidence of social maturity

In addition, each off-campus study program has its own academic requirements, which may include:

Cumulative GPA above 2.5
Previous study of foreign language (for those who wish to take courses taught in a language other than English)
Prerequisite related coursework

Petitioning the Committee on Academic Status

Institutional requirements can be appealed by petitioning the Committee on Academic Status.  If you need to make a petition, make an appointment with an off-campus study adviser to discuss the process.
