Independent Study and Honors

Students considering independent study and departmental honors should first consult the college catalog, sections "On Indpendent Studies" and "On Honors."

Independent studies are undertaken at the discretion and availability of the professor. Before approaching a professor to work on an independent study project, a student should have identified a topic to explore and given thought to the focus, readings, and research to be undertaken.
