OMCA works closely with....

OMCA works closely with many student clubs, groups, and organizations. We are a resource, support, and advocate for the F&M community.

F&M is an extremely fortunate institution with a variety of clubs and groups on campus.

AfroCaribe- The African & Caribbean Club

The Club is dedicated towards celebrating and sustaining African and Caribbean cultures on campus by way of discussions, cultural celebrations, food, etc. In otherwords, we just like to chill - the way it should be done!

African Dance Troupe

The African Dance Troupe teaches dance originating in various parts of Africa. In addition, they learn about the meaning of the dances and in what context they were originally performed. Dancers have the option of performing in the Dance concert or other community events

IMPACT

IMPACT fosters the intellectual and personal growth of multicultural males on campus. We are a brotherhood founded on success, commradery, and leadership. Their email address is impact@fandm.edu

I-Club (International Club

The International Club provides a resource center and promotes the exchange of ideas between foreign and American students. It sponsors a variety of activities aiming at fostering a friendly and informal atmosphere of exchange on campus. Click here to go to their website.

LGBTA-Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgendered and Allies

Come visit the Allies Resource Center(ARC) located in 17 Buchanan. The ARC has various books, magazines, films and documentaries, and pamphlets related to sexuality and gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender issues. Anthony Lascoskie is the ARC Coordinator can help you with any questions you might have.

Sangam

Sangam has been actively involved in promoting South Asian culture and heritage at F & M. It celebrates south asian festivals like Diwali (an Indian festival of lights), Eid, Holi/Basant and a host of others. The club also organizes trips to various places like temples, indian restuarants, other campuses, south asian conferences, etc. Movies are also shown twice a week which attracts a large audience. S.I.S.T.E.R.S

The purpose of S.I.S.T.E.R.S is to provide a sanction of support for women of all backgrounds and ethnicities to form one sisterhood of thoughtful analytical, well-rounded, women and teach them to be respectful, not only to themselves but to each other. Women's Center

The Women's Center of Franklin & Marshall College is committed to equality and equity for women on the campus and in the community. The Center provides programs that educate the campus about women's contributions to society, serves as an advocate for the needs and concerns of women, offers referrals to other campus and community services, provides resource materials about women's issues, sponsors support programs for women on the campus, and empowers students to work for a future free of sexism. Asian Cultural Society: ACS

The Asian Cultural Society spreads awareness about Asian culture. They plan yearly events allowing students to sample various Asian delicaies and expose students to traditional and contemporary Asian customs. Students from all backgrounds are welcome to join.

Black Student Union: BSU

Black Student Union meets the need for stronger coordination and organization of academic, cultural, political and social activities of black students. It recognizes the many aspects that influence their lives and aims to create an organization that has the right to formulate policies and demonstrate the concerns of black students.

Mi Gente Latina: MGL

Mi Gente Latina gives the students at Franklin and Marshall a taste of Latino culture through speakers, dances, and fashions organized by MGL. Mi Gente also strives to spread knowledge about Latinos as they work on implementing a Latino Studies major here at F&M.
