Jazz Band

The F&M Jazz Ensemble is a standard "big band" with 5 saxes, 4 or 5 trumpets, 4 or 5 trombones and rhythm section. The ensemble rehearses twice a week for a total of three hours and performs twice a semester. The ensemble is directed by Jerry Laboranti, Jr.

The repertoire for the jazz ensemble varies greatly from year to year but generally contains standards charts from the big band era and new works in a variety of styles including swing, ballads, rock, Latin, etc.
