My internship at the Pennsylvania State Archives in 2009 was a great experience for me.
I worked in the Arrangement and Description Department where I learned the practical skills that archivists use on a daily basis. I created a finding aid for an unprocessed manuscript group and helped to preserve some documents from the eighteenth century.
Along with the preservation work, I worked in the archive tower checking the locations of the records and the retrieving materials for researchers and patrons. Each day that I went to the archive I learned something new. I was very glad that I got this opportunity.
