International Students: Academic and ESOL Support
The ESOL Specialist offers one-hour individual tutoring appointments for first-year international and multilingual students. These appointments focus on many writing skills, especially revision and grammar, word choice and vocabulary development, sentence structure and clarity, and brainstorming and organization. ESOL Tutoring is held at the Writing Center, and appointments can be scheduled on this website.The ESOL Specialist offers additional half-hour to one hour appointments for international students who need other types of academic support, including help with participation and communication skills, reading comprehension, adjusting to the US academic system and coursework in English, time management and study skills, anxiety about writing in a second language, and more. Academic Skills appointments are held at the Joseph International Center. Appointments can be scheduled on this calendar. -
